Happiness
Sheer delight in being
Seems so simple in youth
Ever more difficult as years go by
See it in a child’s happy face.

A regal woman—a queen whose monarchy may be as small as one room in her home or as large as a continent—you’ll never guess by looking at her.
East Meets West is composed of two sculptures, Watching Time (sitting with ankle across knee)and Sitting Bare (sitting on pillow). Purchased together, they make dramatic book ends. The pair is Price:d at $1800.
Between here and there
I be
Washed, warmed, and filled by the midday sun
With dreams of far beyond.
Between here and there
I be
Calmed, cooled, and enveloped by the midnight breeze
With dreams of days to come.

I can fly with pinafore wings, sailing upon Daddy’s shoulders.
Sitting on his shoulders, I feel all the world is mine.
With his hands holding me, all the world is safe.
This pose is easy, I thought—sitting down, my arm supported on a cushion. But after 20 minutes, I can only think of wrapping myself in my robe, standing, and stretching my back, legs, and fingers.
The model poses nude, but on this occasion the intricate pattern in her hair obscures her nudity – such is the enchantment of the braided locks of “Braided Nude”.
An edition of Braided Nude may still be available from E & S Gallery, Louisville, KY
Boxed in, but…
Are you pushing against walls that restrict you
Or caressing walls that protect you?
Boxed in, but…
Are the walls constructed by others to imprison you
Or built by you to hide from the world?
Boxed in, but…
Are you climbing over the walls
Or finding comfort within them?
Beware, the walls may become a familiar enemy—close in—and crush your will to risk, to explore, to love, to be loved, to give or receive.
